Storage capacity

The Storage capacity of NCD-7 will allow input of up to 500 processes per address and has space for a total of 10,000 addresses, thus enabling input of a maximum of five million processes. A list of addresses, automatic operation, format cutting , and self-diagnosis as well as instructions on how to operate the machine and the status of maintenance will be displayed.

TFT color LCD monitor and ten-key panel

NCD-7 has a 10.4-inch color liquid crystal display as standard equipment. This will enable users to operate the machine while looking at the large, bright color display. In addition, use of a touch panel will make it possible to operate the machine in various ways only by touching the display. Furthermore, the ten-key panel allows the user to input the data in increment of 0.1mm and 0.01mm.

High performance

If input are completed, NCD-7 will notify you by sound, enabling the operator to confirm with their own eyes and ears that inputs have been completed properly. In addition, the high-performance NCD-7 will enable data correction, insertion, format cutting, trim cutting, equal cutting, on-time cutting, repeated cutting, ten-key input, manual cutting adjustment, and automatic memorization. The machine operates in metric, shaku* and inch measurements and converts among three. Memorized data can be displayed again in any of the three measurements. * shaku is Japanese old style measurement unit.

Safety

NCD-7 is equipped with non-repeat method using a double-grip switch and the electronics safety beam using two-lamp transparent light-emitting diode phototubes, as well as safety devices such as the emergency stop button and the device for preventing blades from going down twice. Further safety of cutting position check operation has been ensured using the soft clamp methods (as optional feature.)

Light Beam safety device, Hard chromium-plated table with air cushion, Cut line


Light beam safety device is using light emitting diode which needs no bulb change. When the light blocked, the blade will stop immediately for operator protection. Hard chromium–plated main and sub tables are equipped air cushion which enables to handle heavy paper easily. Air cushion can be stopped when cutting small size paper by ON-OFF switch or by programmed memory. Hard-chromium plate is rustproof and can stand long time using. The cut line indicates cut position and makes memory input easy.

Table groove cover and centralized oiling pump


The groove at the center of the table is covered with a wear-resistant belt, preventing products form falling into, and being caught in the groove. This will also ensure smooth rotation of paper. The centralized oiling systems will make it easy to oil the screws and the guide of the back-gauge.

Ball screw


The back gauge has steel balls between its male and female forwarding screws and these balls circulate while rotating. These balls produce rolling friction, instead of sliding friction. Therefore friction caused when the machine starts operation is kept extremely low, enabling accurate control of positioning. These high-precision and highly rigid balls ensure smooth operation of the back gauge at all times and firmly endure the impact of paper arrangement. They can be used for a long period of time without their precision being degraded.

Digital clamp pressure control


For jobs of cutting paper of different quality and cutting paper thickly or thinly, of jobs in which clamp pressure needs to be changed for each process, pressure can be controlled through memory inputs. Pressure can be set in units of 0.1ton. The two-stage clamp systems in which paper is clamped first softly and then tightly prevents sheets of paper from slipping out of place. The hydraulic mechanism is easy to maintain, as it has Sealded-unit type assembly.

Pulse handle and blade ring


The back gauge is moved using the button for forward and backward movement, high speed and low speed on the control panel but the easy-to-use pulse handles is equipped to ensure smooth operation of the back-gauge. The pulse handle can control high-speed feeding and ultra low-speed feeding for the positioning of paper for greater work efficiency. If the ring for replacing blades is attached to the clamp when blades are replaced, the blade will not go down. If the ring is not attached to the panel after blade replacement, the blade will not start operation.

AC servo motor


The machine uses an AC servo motor that uses the absolute position detection method. Therefore, original point reinstatement operation is unnecessary after operation is interrupted due to power failure of other reasons. Maintenance is also unnecessary because a carbon brush in not needed.

All cutting programs will be displayed on the bright TFT color LCD monitor in easy-to-see and easy-to-understand manner.

Menu display

When the power supply switch is turned on, menu such as format cutting address setting, initial data setting, instructions on how to use the machine, and self-diagnosis will be displayed on the monitor screen. When a job is performed , a touch on the part of the screen that indicates the job will display the necessary information to perform the job.

Alarm monitor

The alarm monitor attached to the front of the distributing panel is always inspecting operation of 30 locations in the machine and the status of connection with self-diagnosis display, enabling the operator to check whether the machine is operating properly.

Format cutting display

Program for standardized methods for dividing and cutting paper, such as large cutting and complete cutting, have been memorized in the computer. Dimension for various ways of cutting will be displayed on the screen in the order of processes and at the same time, the order of cutting places and cutting lines will be displayed for operator’s convenience.

Address list display

A list of all address, customer name/job name put into the computer will be displayed. Choice of a necessary address will enable immediate operation in automatic mode. A total of 40 addresses will be displayed on the screen. A total of 10,000 addresses can be put into the computer.

Parameter setting display

Parameters can be set according to the contents of job, such as showing the month and date when the oil of the machine is to be changed, the time when blades are to be replaced, and the number of cutting operations done. This will simplify the maintenance, inspection, and other activities to expand the product life.

Self-diagnosis display

The machine must be always operating properly. The operator can check the status of operation through the alarm monitor, but they also can diagnose abnormalities on the display early by having the self-diagnosis display on the monitor screen.

Operation manual and maintenance menu

Although an easy-to-understand operation manual is attached to the machine, when the operator are at a loss as to what to do or forget how to operate the machine while the machine is in operation, various instructions will be shown on the display. All maintenance information will be shown on the display, making it unnecessary to refer to the service manual.

Automatic operation display

The address number, customer name/job name, a list of memorized dimensions listed according to processes, execution data, and set pressure being used while the machine is in operation can be seen at a single glance. If the display is scrolled as cutting operation progresses, jobs can be performed accurately while confirming the programs being used.

Touch panel memory input display

By using the ten key display, memory can easily be put into the computer only by touching the display lightly. You can also use ten key panel to input the data.

Memory input display

Memory can be put into computer using the ten key/touch panel while looking at the display. Address display, cutting dimensions, the number of cutting operation, feeding out, print alignment, clamp pressure, and message can easily be memorized. (It is not necessary to put in an end mark showing the end of memorization.)

Ten Key and various display buttons

In addition to buttons for 0 to 9, there are buttons for address, data, the number of cutting, memory, fixed dimensions, trim cutting, equal/total, correction, insertion, copy, clear, air, start, process up/down, millimeter/shaku/inch conversion, ten key, matched blade select, feeding out, print alignment, computing function, high-speed and low-speed forward and backward movements, test, lock and start. Basically, these buttons will be operated in the same way as the ten-key panel on the liquid crystal display.

 

Option

Memory card

A large amount of data, such addresses and cutting dimensions, have been put into the memory card, which does not require batteries. The data will never disappear. This card can be used on other NCD-7.

Keyboard

The optional key board to the machine enables to speed up the input of the data. (other language can be set on an optional basis.)

Soft clamp

It makes the pressure of an operating clamp gauge low pressure more, and it
is a device raising safety more.
